Robert L. Farrar, Jr. (Bob), a “Tex-ssippian,” was born, raised and educated in Mississippi and has spent the last 32 years of his business career in Texas. After graduating from the University of Mississippi in Oxford, earning a Masters of Science Degree in Mathematics in 1968, Farrar began his business career with International Business Machines (IBM), first in engineering in Huntsville, Alabama and later in marketing in Atlanta, Georgia. The experience he gained at IBM, which included Project Manager of the Saturn 504-D (Apollo 9) Instrument Unit flight software and Salesman of the Year in Atlanta, provided the sound foundation on which Farrar built his business and real estate career.

Bob has been successfully involved in real estate development, investment and management for over 37 years, and in Texas since 1977. His real estate experiences have varied from single-family and multi-family residential developments to real estate financing to the actual construction of homes, condominiums and apartments. In addition to various consulting projects, his real estate career also includes activities related to commercial, industrial and office buildings. The general business portion of his career includes, among other endeavors, ownership and related management of various oil and gas interests, an FDIC-insured bank and an automobile dealership.
